This red henna hair color is an all-natural option for coloring your hair without having to use harsh chemicals. It is made from a plant called Lawsonia.

Our red henna hair color is available in a variety of shades and can give your hair a tone from a natural Reddish-Copper hue to a soft Strawberry/Champagne hue.

It is also a safe and nontoxic way to color your hair. Natural henna hair coloring for redheads is easy to use, and it can last for several weeks, depending on how often you shampoo your hair. It is also a great way to cover up gray hairs without the use of harsh chemicals.

"After coloring my hair for over 15 years using our JFR Henna, I cannot imagine coloring my hair with anything else! With age my hair has really faded, but JFR Henna has completely restored and revitalized the way my hair looks and feels! I get complements from total strangers, even while standing in the check out line at the grocery store about the color of my hair" -- JFR Founder, Paula Pennypacker

Also available in our 3-oz (85 grams) economy size.

HENNA INSTRUCTIONS AND QUESTIONS

HOW MUCH WILL I NEED?

Our 7-oz size (198 grams) will give you several applications depending on the length of your hair. For example: You only need 3 oz for shoulder length hair. Use more if hair is longer and less if hair is shorter.

HOW OFTEN DO I APPLY JFR HENNA?

An application will last up to 6 to 8 weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. Unlike chemical process, you can apply JFR Henna as often as you like as it conditions the hair and is not damaging like chemical dyes.

WILL JFR HENNA LIGHTEN MY HAIR?

No! Only a stripping agent like bleach or peroxide will pull color from your hair. You cannot go from being auburn to strawberry blonde with our henna. Our Henna will only deposit red over your existing color.

DO A STRAND TEST FIRST

We always recommend that you always do a strand test first.  This is especially important if you are laying our henna over chemically treated hair as chemically treated hair will grab our Henna differently than virgin hair.

CAN I MIX HENNA SHADES?
We recommend using straight colors before mixing different shades so you can determine what color red each shade turns your hair. Then you can have fun experimenting.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1: Pour henna into a non-metallic bowl. Then for extra conditioning you can add up to 1 TBS of olive oil. This step is optional.

STEP 2: Boil 2 cups of water. NOTE: Water that is not BOILING hot will result in a lumpy mixture.  When water is hot enough your mixture should be the consistency of honey.

STEP 3: Stirring with your Just for Redheads Applicator Brush gradually add your boiling water until your mixture becomes the consistency of honey. You do not want your mixture to be too watery or thick. To add more depth to any shade of our Henna you can also mix our Henna with BOILING dark roast coffee instead of boiling water.

TIMING YOUR HENNA PACK

We recommend you leave your first henna application on for 20 minutes to avoid over processing.  If you wish to go darker, leave the henna pack on longer your next application -- up to 1 hour.  NOTE: The longer you leave our Henna on - the more RED is deposited. Lighter hair grabs henna more than darker hair, that is why processing time is critical to avoid over processing.

Ingredients: 100% pulverized leaves from pure Lawsonia plants.

Henna-strawberry blonde

Product: Henna All Natural Hair Color - 100% Safe
Posted By: Kathy
I get compliments on my hair color from everyone who knows me. I’m 65- my childhood copper hair color had faded to a dun color and the strawberry blonde henna restored my natural color! Other hair colors give me a fake pinkish or burgundy or orange tinge. This is wonderful, easy to apply, smells like green tea (no nasty chemical odor), and best of all, restores shine, softness and body. It fades slowly with each shampoo. I usually reapply every 5-6 weeks. Try it-you have nothing to lose and everything to gain

"I came into this world a redhead and vow to go out as one! I have been professionally colored but am now a vowed Just for Redheads home henna user. I have had more compliments on my hair with Just for Redheads Henna than with any hair product I've tried. It looks natural and makes your hair feel SO soft. It lasts for a long time and is easy to use. Best of all, it doesn't break the bank. If you want a color that puts the red in redhead, then try Just for Redheads Henna. I seriously doubt that you will ever return to your normal color treatment."

"I used copper and it brought my hair back to its original color. I watched the online video, and it couldn’t have been easier!"

    Love the color!

Posted by Sheila Koeppendoerfer on Aug 02, 2020

I had copper hair as a kid and in my 30's my color has faded. This gives me a revivement in my color. I use the copper henna. I think about the idea of doing one shades darker maybe in the winter but don't know if I'm brave enough. We'll see. For now I'm happy with the copper. I don't care for the earthy grass smell but after a few washes that fades. I also like to use fractionated coconut oil instead of the olive oil.

I have been using Just For Redheads hennas for many, many years! I have always had success with the color and over the years have perfected the color using auburn, Champaign and strawberry blonde.

I will continue buying the hennas from JFR and will continue recommending them to any redhead that comments on my hair which is often!!

    Hennas

I can't tell you how many times I get strangers and friends tell me how much they love my hair color after using the champagne and red hennas. I've always had folks notice me when I was young with my bright red hair and now, using the hennas I can still get attention. Have you ever thought about making a root powder cover up? My roots need a touch up now that I'm going blond more and more and the cover up would be a great addition.

    Copper henna

Posted by Unknown on Jul 06, 2020

I used strong, dark, boiling coffee and olive oil as recommended for the hennas. I used champagne first to cover my grays, thoroughly rinsed out in shower, used a shampoo/conditioner combo followed by a conditioner. Let my hair dry, then applied the copper color and repeated the shower process, ending with argon oil. Color came out BEAUTIFUL! I must be honest and say the strand test didn’t take when I left the hennas on for the recommended time. I had recently used a color remover on my hair and I had gray roots. So I let my hennas sit in the sun covered with plastic, the champagne for two hours and the copper for eight hours. I left the champagne on my head wrapped with plastic wrap for an hour, and the copper for two. It worked perfectly and I’m never going back to expensive salon color that fades after two weeks or to box dyes that made half my hair fall out! I’m sold on this henna product. I would never have been able to create this color on my own. Thank you thank you so much from this grandma that is not ready to go gray!

    The Best!

Posted by Laura S. on Jun 29, 2020

I've been using this henna for about 8 years now - it is the perfect product to add tone and shine to my naturally auburn hair. I love that it is 100% natural and is, unlike chemical dyes, good for my hair. I wholeheartedly recommend this henna for anyone wanting to enhance their natural color, or perhaps darken it a shade or two. Wonderful, wonderful stuff!

    Natural Looking and gentle

Posted by Vanessa on Jun 15, 2020

I have used the copper henna about 3 times. It is wonderful. I have naturally red hair, but I have some gray in spots. This removes the gray and brightens my natural color(redheads will lose their vibrancy with age). My hair does not feel dry or brittle afterword. Also, If you text the company they help you pick the right color for you.!

I am natural redheadave that has used your henna for many years. JFR is the very best. I mix Champayne and Strawberry blonde for the color I use to make my natural red hair "pop".

Great product as always. I used this years ago and decided to try again. My hair felt so soft and conditioned and it brightened my color exactly how I wanted. I will be ordering regularly.

I tried the Strawberry Blond and it worked great. I’ve never used anything before but I managed and it brightened my fading hair without looking unnatural.

    Best colors of natural henna

Posted by Linda on May 16, 2020

Born a redhead, I have been experimenting with henna since I was a teenager, trying to change the color or enhance it. Today, I use it to color my gray and so thankful I found Justforredheads website. They have the most natural colors available. I use a combination of Strawberry Blonde and Copper mostly. Just recently, added a little champagne to the mix. Henna gives you natural highlights and does not look dyed all one color. I always get compliments on the color. I also, like the idea of not putting chemicals on my hair. So thankful I found Justforedheads years ago and especially during this pandemic when everyone was walking around with gray roots except for me!!!!
