This red henna hair dye is an all-natural option for coloring your hair without having to use harsh chemicals. It is made from a plant called Lawsonia inermis, which is found in India, Africa, and the Middle East. Our red henna hair dye is available in a variety of shades and can give your hair a tone from a natural Reddish-Copper hue to a soft Strawberry/Champagne Hue. It is also a safe and non-toxic way to color your hair. Natural henna hair coloring for redheads is easy to use, and it can last for several weeks, depending on how often you shampoo your hair. It is also a great way to cover up gray hairs without the use of harsh chemicals.

"After coloring my hair for over 15 years using our JFR Henna, I cannot imagine coloring my hair with anything else! With age my hair has really faded, but JFR Henna has completely restored and revitalized the way my hair looks and feels! I get complements from total strangers, even while standing in the check out line at the grocery store about the color of my hair" -- JFR Founder, Paula Pennypacker

Also available in our 3-oz (85 grams) economy size.

HENNA INSTRUCTIONS AND QUESTIONS

HOW MUCH WILL I NEED?

Our 7-oz size (198 grams) will give you several applications depending on the length of your hair. For example: You only need 3 oz for shoulder length hair. Use more if hair is longer and less if hair is shorter.

HOW OFTEN DO I APPLY JFR HENNA?

An application will last up to 6 to 8 weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. Unlike chemical process, you can apply JFR Henna as often as you like as it conditions the hair and is not damaging like chemical dyes.

WILL JFR HENNA LIGHTEN MY HAIR?

No! Only a stripping agent like bleach or peroxide will pull color from your hair. You cannot go from being auburn to strawberry blonde with our henna. Our Henna will only deposit red over your existing color.

DO A STRAND TEST FIRST

We always recommend that you always do a strand test first.  This is especially important if you are laying our henna over chemically treated hair as chemically treated hair will grab our Henna differently than virgin hair.

CAN I MIX HENNA SHADES?
We recommend using straight colors before mixing different shades so you can determine what color red each shade turns your hair. Then you can have fun experimenting.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1: Pour henna into a non-metallic bowl. Then for extra conditioning you can add up to 1 TBS of olive oil. This step is optional.

STEP 2: Boil 2 cups of water. NOTE: Water that is not BOILING hot will result in a lumpy mixture.  When water is hot enough your mixture should be the consistency of honey.

STEP 3: Stirring with your Just for Redheads Applicator Brush gradually add your boiling water until your mixture becomes the consistency of honey. You do not want your mixture to be too watery or thick. To add more depth to any shade of our Henna you can also mix our Henna with BOILING dark roast coffee instead of boiling water.

TIMING YOUR HENNA PACK

We recommend you leave your first henna application on for 20 minutes to avoid over processing.  If you wish to go darker, leave the henna pack on longer your next application -- up to 1 hour.  NOTE: The longer you leave our Henna on - the more RED is deposited. Lighter hair grabs henna more than darker hair, that is why processing time is critical to avoid over processing.

Ingredients: 100% pulverized leaves from pure Lawsonia plants.

Henna-strawberry blonde

Product: Henna All Natural Hair Color - 100% Safe
Posted By: Kathy
I get compliments on my hair color from everyone who knows me. I’m 65- my childhood copper hair color had faded to a dun color and the strawberry blonde henna restored my natural color! Other hair colors give me a fake pinkish or burgundy or orange tinge. This is wonderful, easy to apply, smells like green tea (no nasty chemical odor), and best of all, restores shine, softness and body. It fades slowly with each shampoo. I usually reapply every 5-6 weeks. Try it-you have nothing to lose and everything to gain

"I came into this world a redhead and vow to go out as one! I have been professionally colored but am now a vowed Just for Redheads home henna user. I have had more compliments on my hair with Just for Redheads Henna than with any hair product I've tried. It looks natural and makes your hair feel SO soft. It lasts for a long time and is easy to use. Best of all, it doesn't break the bank. If you want a color that puts the red in redhead, then try Just for Redheads Henna. I seriously doubt that you will ever return to your normal color treatment."

"I used copper and it brought my hair back to its original color. I watched the online video, and it couldn’t have been easier!"

I love it! I am a natural redhead but needed something to cover a little gray at the temples and to brighten overall. This was recommended by a friend. Glad she introduced me~!

    Copper henna

Easy to apply and I love the results. Do a strand test, especially if you have white or light colored hair. I still have my natural highlights.

I have been using this henna for years. As I am getting older, it brings back my color as my hair is getting lighter. It is good for my hair too.

Mixing the two colors works well on my hair. My hair has a nice sheen and does not feel dry.

I mixed the Auburn with hot water and left on for 1.5 hours and my ashy blonde has turned into a beautiful light auburn.

This is an excellent product. Great color and leaves my hair soft. Not rated a 5 star rating because of the price....a bit too expensive but otherwise perfect.

I have been using your Henna for over 25 years and have never regretted it. Besides giving it the highlights I like, it also gives great body. Love the choice of colors.

Honestly the best henna I have ever used

Posted by Angela on Dec 28, 2020

This is seriously the best henna I have ever used! I recently ran out and in a bind I used a different brand and I absolutely hated it and regretted it. Please don’t ever stop making this! I am a natural redhead and this brings my hair back to my youthful days of vibrancy and covers my grays and looks natural.

Life Saver and Deciding Color (Careful on Time!)

Posted by Heather Srimal on Dec 05, 2020

Hello! My hair started our bright red/orange as a kid and over the years it has gotten lighter. I finally had to do something about the random grays at 44 years old when they were no longer looked like a blonde highlight. The product is great! My advice on the color is to go a little lighter than you think, start with no more than 10 min on your hair (I have lighter hair and color absorbs very quickly!) and start from the roots underneath (everything clipped up) first (as when you are done, such color will have been absorbed more there). I have more grey on my sides (can see when I pull my hair back) and on my part line. For color, Paula recommended copper based on the pic I sent to her, but it was too dark. So, I bought strawberry but I left it on for 15 min and it was really bright (kind of fake looking). I then bought champagne and that did nothing. So, I went back to Strawberry for 7 min and applied quickly. I was really careful with the amount of time it sat on my sides, part and it turned out great! Also, the olive oil is a must, as I forgot once and my hair was really dry. This product is a life saver!!

Henna, these are the best reds!

Posted by Alice on Dec 02, 2020

These are the most natural, multifaceted reds I’ve used. But respect their intensity, start slowly. Every few months, I apply a mixture of auburn and brown and leave on for only 10 minutes. If my roots need more, I’ll do just the roots again for another 10 minutes, tops. My honey-consistency “batter” applies well on dry or wet hair. I take a lot of time in the shower rinsing it thoroughly using water and a slippery conditioner. The color deepens over the next couple of days, so expect that and don’t overdo it. But when you get it right, it’s the color you were born with or wish you were born with!

    "Strawberry Blonde"

Posted by Christina on Nov 22, 2020

My hair is soft and shiny after using this product, and I swear this somehow fixed my dry scalp. However, my natural colour is very close to what is shown for the Copper henna so I selected Strawberry Blonde because I wasn't seeking a colour change... and my hair is now an intense orange colour. It's not terrible on me, but is clearly not natural. So if you're not seeking a very bold colour change you might want to try a couple of shades lighter - maybe Champagne?
